According to Wikipedia, "Relationship marketing is a form of marketing developed from direct response marketing campaigns conducted in the 1970's and 1980's which emphasizes customer retention and satisfaction, rather than a dominant focus on 'point of sale' transactions. Relationship marketing differs from other forms of marketing in that it recognizes the long term value to the firm of keeping customers, as opposed to direct or "Intrusion" marketing, which focuses upon acquisition of new clients by targeting majority demographics based upon prospective client lists." | | | | Are You LinkedIn? You might not even know what it means to be LinkedIn or what is can do for you and your business. LinkedIn is a social networking site that allows you to post a profile with information about yourself and connect to individuals that you have worked with, gone to school with or done business with. But what can LinkedIn and other social networking sites do for your business? In the simplest format, by connecting to others, you have the ability to tap into their networks and meet (virtually, of course) other persons with similar interests. As an example, if you are a realtor, you would look at your connections' connections to see if you find referral sources you would like to meet, like mortgage brokers or real estate appraisers. |
