Be Prepared for the Wild Magic of Growing a Successful Business
by Patricia Beckman, Founder and CEO Cybertary
Because the Cybertary business has seen success fairly quickly, I get a lot of questions from new entrepreneurs like, "How did you do it?" or "What's your secret to success?" At first, I found myself stammering a little for an answer that felt authentic. It's not that I had any doubt about the hard work I had put into the business, it's just that there was this critical bit of "magic" that happened along the way as well - and both have been instrumental in Cybertary's success.

A Sensible Approach to Work Life Balance
|
|
By Lorraine Rinker, Principal Careerist - Rinker & Associates
Work-life balance is a popular goal with many people today. Most will tell you that it is not an easy thing to accomplish, if ever. It does not happen over night, over a week, or over a month. It is actually a process that reaches far beyond looking at achieving a "50-50 play/work" lifestyle. It's about looking at the long term sustainability of yourself in terms of your physical and emotional health.

Cyber-Quick Tip

Force Outlook Menus to Fully Expand Every Time
Any drop down menu in Microsoft Outlook is automatically set up to appear in a shorter form, with the most used commands showing and the others hidden. These other commands can be seen by clicking on the arrow at the bottom of the menu, which expands the menu to full form. However, clicking on the arrow constantly can become a little annoying. To solve this problem, set up Outlook to show full menus all the time.
Here's another practical tip for using Microsoft Outlook:
-
In the Outlook menu bar, click on Tools and select Customize.
-
In the Customize dialog box, click the Options tab. Under Personalized Menus and Toolbars, click on the check box next to Always show full menus.
-
Click on Close, and now menus in Microsoft Outlook will fully expand all the time.
Bonus Tip: Keep in mind that setting up the menus this way in Outlook will also automatically apply to all other Microsoft Office programs you have installed.
